Next, fly to Ephesus and walk on the very streets where St. Paul, the Virgin Mary, Alexander the Great and, many Roman emperors once did. Then, drive to Fethiye the queen of the Aegean and know why Cleopatra chose to live here. Next, head for Pamukkale to see the white travertines and soak your feet in its spring waters with curative properties. Next, off to Fethiye and find yourself watching the phenomenal sunset over its otherworldly coves and islets. Then, head to Konya. With its wealth of cultural and historical importance, Konya is a city that holds a special place in the central Anatolian region. Next, drive to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. It's a bustling and vibrant destination situated in the heart of the country. Its cultural history, stunning architecture, and lively markets make it a must-visit location for travelers.

DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN ISTANBUL

DAY 2 ISTANBUL / EPHESUS

Today we get over jet lag by spending an exciting day seeing the many sites of the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. Highlights will include the iconic Hagia Sophia, built as a church by Emperor Justinian in the sixth century and converted to a mosque some 900 years later; and the Hippodrome, which was the former center of coronations and chariot races in what was then Constantinople. Then, see the15th century Topkapi Palace from which the Ottoman Empire was ruled for 400 years. Late in the afternoon, we are off to the airport for our an hour flight to Izmir. 

 

DAY 3 EPHESUS / PAMUKKALE

This morning, we depart to visit Ephesus, the largest archeological site in Turkey. First founded around 2000 BC, Ephesus is one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities with its Great Theater, Terrace Houses, elaborate water systems and beautiful mosaics. Following lunch, depart for the UNESCO-listed spa town of Pamukkale, best known for its healing waters since Roman times. We'll first walk through the ancient city of Hierapolis, where you can explore the ruins of once the thriving city of the Romans.  Afterward, head to the famous white terraces of Pamukkale, where you can soak in the warm mineral waters and take in the stunning views.

DAY 4 PAMUKKALE / FETHIYE

We are departing for Fethiye, a beautiful coastal town located in Southwestern Turkey. It is known for its stunning crystal clear waters, and picturesque landscapes.

 

DAY 5 FETHIYE / ANTALYA

Depart hotel in the morning for a cruise to take in some spectacular scenery and then continue to Antalya, the provincial capital of the Mediterranean Region.​

DAY 6 ANTALYA / KONYA

Following breakfast, drive to Aspendos to see the best preserved Roman Theatre, dating back some 2000 years, and then continue to Konya, the 5th largest city in Turkey.

DAY 7 KONYA / CAPPADOCIA

Today, depart for Cappadocia to discover the surreal volcanic moonscape. Whittled into unique formations by wind and rain over millions of years. During our visit over this vast region, you'll understand what really happened here in the course of centuries.  In the 3rd century, for instance, Christians fleeing Roman persecution lived in churches and villages entirely carved into the volcanic rocks…

 

DAY 8 CAPPADOCIA

Depart hotel to take photos at the best vantage points such as Uchisar and then visit the deep underground city of Kaymakli, dating back to the era of the Hittites. The underground city is a fascinating historical site located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. This ancient city was carved out of volcanic rock and visitors can explore the intricate network of tunnels, rooms, and passages that make up this unique place.

 

DAY 9 CAPPADOCIA / ANKARA

This morning, we're heading for Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. It is a perfect blend of modernity and tradition. With its rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture, Ankara is a must-visit destination for any traveler. Here, we visit the Ankara Castle, a historical landmark that has stood the test of time. Located in the heart of the capital, it offers visitors a glimpse into the country's rich past. 

DAY 10 ISTANBUL

Today we are flying back to Istanbul and late in the afternoon, we'll be heading to the pier to cruise along the Bosphorus Strait between Europe and Asia. During the private boat ride you'll be seeing great Ottoman Palaces and some of the most luxurious and expensive houses in the world.

 

DAY 11 DEPART
