Welcome to Istanbul. Check in the hotel and relax until welcome dinner in town

 

APRIL 27 ISTANBUL / CAPPADOCIA
Today we get over jet lag by spending an exciting day seeing the many sites of the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. Highlights will include the Blue Mosque, or Mosque of Sultan Ahmet I, one of the biggest mosques in the city whose 17th century blue tiles and 6 minarets help shape the skyline of Istanbul; the iconic HagiaSophia, built as a church by Emperor Justinian in the sixth century and converted to a mosque some 900 years later; and the Hippodrome, which was the former center of coronations and chariot races in what was then Constantinople.  In the afternoon, we are off to the airport for our flight to Cappadocia

APRIL 28 CAPPADOCIA

This morning, we depart our hotel to discover Cappadocia's surreal volcanic moonscape, whittled into unique formations by wind and rain over millions of years. In the third century, Christians fleeing Roman persecution carved churches and entire villages into niches in the volcanic tuff. After touring the area, We will drive to the four-story deep underground city of Kaymakli, dating back to the era of the Hittites.

 

APRIL 29 CAPPADOCIA TO ANTALYA 

This morning we are driving to the airport for our flight to Antalya. Then, we'll visit the ancient city of Aspendos. It is known for its well-preserved Roman theater, which is still used for performances today. The theater is considered one of the best-preserved examples of Roman theater architecture in the world.

APRIL 30 ANTALYA / TURQUOISE COAST

Today, we head for Mugla, a charming and picturesque town situated in the southwest region of Turkey. This coastal town boasts of its breathtaking beaches, pristine waters, and fascinating historical sites. Whether you're seeking a tranquil and laid-back holiday or an action-packed adventure, Fethiye offers a diverse range of activities and attractions to suit all tastes and preferences

MAY 1 TURQUOISE COAST

Discover the stunning beauty of the region from a unique perspective by taking a cruise. Here, we'll be on a journey to experience the magic of this breathtaking region through the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean, leading you to hidden coves and secluded beaches that can only be reached by boat. 

MAY 2 TURQUOISE COAST TO BODRUM 

This morning, we depart for Bodrum, a stunning coastal town in Turkey, known for its iconic landmark, The Castle standing majestically overlooking the harbor. The 15th century castle itself is a fascinating site to explore, with its towers, courtyards, and gardens and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. This museum is a must-visit for history buffs. It is one of the most important museums of its kind in the world, showcasing artifacts recovered from shipwrecks along the Turkish coast. Highlights include the Uluburun Shipwreck, a Bronze Age shipwreck discovered in the 1980s, and its cargo of luxury items like ivory, gold, and glass. 

MAY 3 BODRUM TO EPHESUS-IZMIR ​

Today, we're heading for Ephesus, known for its rich history and significant archaeological sites. It was once a major trade center and a hub for early Christianity. The city is home to well-preserved ruins, including a large amphitheater and the Library of Celsus, which attract visitors from around the globe. Today, Ephesus stands as a testament to the cultural and historical legacy of ancient civilizations. 

MAY 4 EPHESUS-IZMIR ​

​This morning, we are off to Alaçatı, a charming coastal town on Turkey's Aegean coast, known for its cobblestone streets and traditional stone houses. The town features local markets, boutique shops, and a vibrant dining scene with fresh seafood. Alaçatı offers a perfect escape for adventure and relaxation.

MAY 5 IZMIR TO ISTANBUL

Today, we return to Istanbul by air. A Bosphorus cruise is planned for you to enjoy the city's waterfront elegance and historical landmarks from a unique vantage point..

MAY 6 DEPART

As our journey concludes, reflect on the memories made before your departure from this city that bridges worlds.
