NOVEMBER 4 DEPART USA

 

NOVEMBER 5 ARRIVE IN TURIN / PIEDMONT

Meet Irfan BIYIK at the Turin airport and depart for ALBA, the medieval village and the truffle capital abundant with cornfields, hazelnut plantations and vineyards. 

 

NOVEMBER 6 PIEDMONT

This morning we visit the Alba White Truffle Fair. In the 1930s Giacomo Morra - the original promoter of the Alba Truffle Fair - knew how to make the Alba Truffle Fair famous; He thought he would send the best specimen each year to important figures from the worlds of politics, sport and entertainment. He began with Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe and Winston Churchill who just fell in love with the taste of the truffle they received. They began to order more for their entourage and today Alba draws truffle lovers from all parts of the world. So, we'll be straight heading for the truffle tent to see for ourselves why it is always jam-packed. Then, in the afternoon, we proceed to see the beautiful village; La Morra

 

NOVEMBER 7 PIEDMONT

Today, we will be out on a white truffle hunt in the heart of the Langhe Valley to meet real trifulau who will be telling us about this edible black gold, how it is cultivated and the dogs that are so well trained. We find some truffles to try and have an idea how the truffles are cooked best. In the afternoon, free time in Alba where you can enjoy watching its truffle stands, sitting at its cafés and shopping at its local stores.

NOVEMBER 8 MODENA

Today we are driving to MODENA for a private culinary excursion visiting producers of the region's celebrated Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar. Here, we walk in the heart of the city to see from outside the Modena City Hall and the Cathedral.  We check in our luxury hotel. Dinner outside at an awarded restaurant.

 

NOVEMBER 9 BOLOGNA

This morning we depart for one of the food havens in Italy; BOLOGNA. It is also noted for its medieval structures such as columned porticoes, San Petronio Basilica and the University of Bologna from the 11th century which used to be the first higher learning institute in the Western world and it still continues attracting students from different corners of the world.  Here, we'll have the chance to visit the great food stands in the small streets of the city.

 

NOVEMBER 10 SIENA

Today we are heading to one of the most amazing cities in Italy; Siena which is as elegant as it is ancient. Here, we'll be walking in its cobblestoned streets and see the Piazza Del Campo, a shell shaped plaza which is one of the most impressive in Europe being home to the important civic events of Siena. 

 

NOVEMBER 11 TUSCANY

This morning we depart for Banfi area to witness its superb nature and landscape.. Then continue to Montalcino, a hill town offering stunning views over the Asso, Ombrone and Arbia Valleys of Tuscany.  After we see the areas full of fruit of vines, we have dinner at a top restaurant in Banfi.

 

NOVEMBER 12 FLORENCE

Today, it is time to visit one of the most impressive and most visited cities in the world; Florence, the capital of Tuscany and birthplace of Renaissance. Always magnetic, romantic and busy, Florence is an international label of quality assurance. This is where the brands such as Gucci and Cavalli were born. Its little streets with full of history, style and fashion are just to admire as they have a lot to offer the passers bye.

 

NOVEMBER 13 FLORENCE

Today, we walk through the streets once walked by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci. Here, we'll be seeing the city landmarks such as the Duomo, the Pitti Palace , the Old Bridge ( Ponte Vecchio ) and Piazza della Signoria. 

 

NOVEMBER 14 DEPART

Private Transfer to Florence Airport for the flight back home.
