Kenya / Tanzania
       2023/2024

Best Rate & Best Service...Guaranteed...

This vacation includes Kenya and Tanzania's famous safaris.

Start in Nairobi, Kenya's capital.

Next, go to the magnificent lodge on the reserve next to Chyulu Hills National Park, a stunning volcanic mountain range from which you can see Mount Kilimanjaro. Ernest Hemingway's The Green highlands of Africa was set in Chyulu's beautiful highlands and dazzling sunrises.

Zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes live here, as do elephants. You can walk, ride horses, mountain cycle, or go on night safaris every day. We can arrange visits to nearby villages, tours to Amboseli National Park, and flights over Mount Kilimanjaro. Waking up to Mount Kilimanjaro's sunrise is unforgettable.

Next, visit Kenya's most famous safari site, Maasai Mara National Reserve, where you may relax in a five-star tent. Maasai Mara is known for its stunning scenery and diverse wildlife. Here, you may watch the Serengeti's wildebeest migration. On thrilling game drives, you can see the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, and Cape buffaloes), cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, ostriches, hippos, crocodiles, and many antelope species. Walk if you want. Immerse yourself in Maasai culture by visiting a community.

Ngorongoro Crater, part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area World Heritage Site, is the next stop. The premium lodge on the crater rim offers thrilling game drives inside the crater in search of the Big Five and hippos, as well as stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Next, visit the Singita Grumeti Reserves, a private wildlife concession near Serengeti National Park, to spend your last night at a luxury lodge.

Elephants, leopards, and lions live here, and people come to observe the wildebeest migration.  If you like, go on walking safaris, bush sundowners, and night game drives.

You'll be welcomed in Arusha and taken to your international flight.

Like on all my itineraries, I only use the finest hotels, safari lodges, and safari vehicles on my africa itineraries, too. Private charter flights and unique experiences like hot-air balloon rides, luxury mobile safaris, and lunches in the wilderness are available upon request.

DAY 1 NAIROBI / KENYA

Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to hotel.

DAY AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK | KILIMANJARO'S FOOTSTEPS
Today, head to Amboseli National Park at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, which, at 5,895 meters, is the world's tallest freestanding mountain. Explore the region in quest of its spectacular wildlife. Amboseli's biggest draw is elephants. Observe large cattle traversing the dusty plains, including "tuskers," large, mature bulls with impressive tusks. This evening, a welcome dinner will be held to celebrate the beginning of an unforgettable safari experience.

DAY 3  AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK | A DAY IN THE SAFARI
Spend an entire day exploring the abundance of creatures in Amboseli National Park. View giraffes, Cape buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and, occasionally, lions — all roaming freely among swamps, springs, and a shimmering, dried lake bed — in addition to elephants from a safari vehicle with just six seats, ensuring that every guest has a window seat. After a safari-filled morning, pause for lunch. This afternoon, embark on a second game drive to discover even more of East Africa's natural marvels.

DAY 4 TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK, TANZANIA | GAME VIEWING
After entering Tanzania, you should pause for lunch in Arusha. Then, fly to Tarangire National Park and check into your luxurious accommodations. Sanctuary Swala's large tents are constructed on elevated decks beneath umbrella acacia trees overlooking a popular watering hole and are located in a secluded area of the park for a more private safari experience. Herds of impalas frequently graze in the vicinity of this eco-friendly domicile, which has a spacious layout. Wide vistas of wooded savanna extend in all directions throughout the park, which is nourished by the perennial Tarangire River and teems with lions, elephants, and buffalo. Its red, dusty landscape is also home to a significant number of birds. Tonight, dinner will be served in camp.

DAY 5 TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK | ENTERING THE WILD
Explore Tarangire National Park's astounding concentration of animals — herds of elephants, impalas, and zebras — on morning and afternoon game excursions. Also, keep an eye out for pythons and the twitching tails of leopards lurking in the sausage trees. Walking safaris and canoe excursions on Lake Gursi are available for an additional fee. Participate in a Chef's Table experience upon your return to Swala, which includes a culinary demonstration of local dishes such as ugali, makande, and kachumbari, followed by an opportunity to sample them.

DAY 6 NGORONGORO CRATER | DESIGN YOUR DAY
Learn how Tanzanians live today by riding a tuk-tuk around the village of Mto wa Mbu. Tuk-tuks are the predominant mode of transportation in Tanzania. Observe rice paddies and a plantain grove. In the village, stroll the local market to see the array of vibrant produce. Lunch will be served at your lodge, which is located close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This afternoon, participate in one of these activities.

DAY 7 NGORONGORO CRATER | WILDLIFE-RICH HAVEN
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater to explore this ancient volcanic caldera's panoramic, game-rich prairies. Ngorongoro offers a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience in a setting unrivaled in the world, with crater walls that are nearly 600 meters high. Observe abundant and diverse fauna freely roaming in an authentic "Lost World," where it is possible to encounter all of the Big Five in one day. Before returning to your lodge, enjoy a picnic supper at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tonight, assemble with your fellow guests for dinner.

DAY 8 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK | INFINITE PLAINS
Fly to Serengeti National Park, a vast Tanzanian landscape that hosts one of the world's greatest wildlife spectacles: the annual Great Migration, when millions of herbivores traverse the Serengeti plains in quest of water and fresh grass, with hungry predators in pursuit. Morning and afternoon game excursions over the next two days may reveal giraffes, wildebeests, elephants, and many other animals.

DAY 11 MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE, KENYA | CROWN JEWEL
Fly to the Masai Mara, the Serengeti's northern extension. After settling into your accommodations on a private section of the Mara River, immerse yourself in the wilderness during an afternoon game drive. Follow the Mara River to find crocodiles basking in the sun, hippos wallowing in murky water, and primates engaged in mischief-making in the sky. Eagles, among the more than 400 species of birds that can be spotted here, soar effortlessly above the sun-drenched landscape. During your time in the Mara, stay at one of Africa's finest safari lodges, Sanctuary Olonana, and experience the peace of mind that comes with it. Tonight, attendees are invited to a Scenic Sundowner followed by an elegant dinner.

DAYS 12-13 MASAI MARA Game Reserve
Two days will be spent investigating the open savanna, woodlands, and tree-fringed rivers of the Masai Mara, where patience will be rewarded with unique sightings such as a leopard retrieving a kill from the upper branches of an acacia or elephants protecting their young from opportunistic lions. In the Mara, game viewing is never dull, particularly during the annual Great Migration. Observe as Maasai tribesmen traverse the plains or herd goats and cattle amidst the breathtaking scenery.
